I mean it’s more so to do with personal philosophy which goes into everyone’s criteria when placing a vote, but that progression in year 3 from a high pick is expected

I don’t see the issue but Cade is a good example of why every league needs to have both a comeback player of the year and most improved award

MIP should be awarded to dudes that are out of their rookie contract because it’s expected for 1st or 2nd year player to be better next year. Would be much more interesting to see players that you don’t really expect to become stars win it after a breakout year

High picks should be able to win it. It's who's the most improved player compared to last year. It doesn't matter if that improvement is the expectation, it's not "most surprising improvement". That being said, Cade shouldn't win it next year
