Rin shook his head and went back to work. There are plenty of pretty people around to catch a Miya's eye. He'd know. Osamu will easily find someone better suited for him, like Atsumu did. Sitting back at his desk, he resolved to never go back to Onigiri Miya.

He deserves to be with someone who doesn't get jealous of him /just being nice/ to his costumers. Someone who won't call him in the middle of the night just because he misses him, especially since chefs don't really sleep much in the first place. Someone not clingy or paranoid.

He just can't, it's too early and what if his brain is just trying to convince him that he likes the chef only to have as like... a rebound against Atsumu? Osamu is /so/ sweet and kind... he doesn't deserve to be treated like that... He deserves better than Rin can give him now.

(🦊 POV) While going back to work, he rounded a corner, leaned on the side of a building and groaned loudly enough for a cat nearby to jump and skip away from him. Why. Why did Osamu have to be so cute. Why?! He can't be getting a crush so soon after being cheated on!

Osamu had failed his main mission for today, getting Rintarō's phone number, but maybe... if he started to come by sometimes, even just to chat... he could try and ask. The last thing he wanted was to make him uncomfortable again, so he just quietly kept his hopes in his heart.

Suna gave him a small smile and Osamu felt like he just won the lottery, "Well, then, thank you, Osamu." His name never sounded so fucking /good./ The other got up and waved at him from the door, "Have a good day." "Ya too, come by any time!" Please come by again. Please.

If Rintarō would have been immediately down to go on a date, Osamu wouldn't have said no, but he understood, the other needed a bit more time. He had to salvage this, "But seriously, Rin-san, 's all on the house, consider it a personal 'I'm sorry ma brother is an ass' apology."

Unfortunately, Suna had to go back to work eventually and, while he expected some level of surprise at the compliment, he never would have meant to make him that visibly uncomfortable! It truly was just a genuine comment, he never actually meant to imply– okay, well, a little.

(🍙 POV) Osamu has never really been one for convoluted or difficult plans, but he had to pat himself on the back for coming up on the spot with the idea of keeping presenting the man of his dreams with delicious onigiri to keep him there longer.

Suna was sure his entire face was on fire now. He looked so adorable, blushing and stuttering and he sounded so earnest and genuine and Rin kinda wanted to kiss him. FUCK. Why. Why him. Why did this stupidly perfect man have to be Atsumu's twin brother /AND/ roommate?

Rin, now incredibly tense, shook his head, "It's fine, I'm–I– thank you, but I can't–" The chef waved his hand in front of himself, "I–I get it, I get it. Dun worry 'bout it, jus'–jus'–" he cleared his voice, "I wanted to–to tell ya. 'cause ya are. Like really really pretty."

The chef laughed quietly, "Ever heard of 'pretty privilege'?" Rin's mind blanked. Oh. Oh no. The hotter Miya was flirting with him. Fuck /no./ Clearly his face showed how uncomfortable he was, because Osamu immediately continued, "Sorry, I–uh, I jus'– yer really are pretty."

The layout artist took out his phone and glanced at the time, "Ah, I need to go back to work. How much is for all of them?" The other waved his hand dismissively, "Ya don't hafta pay, it's on the house." Rin blinked a couple of times, "Not a good business model, Chef Miya."

He sighed inwardly, maybe in another life, he and Osamu could have been an item... but not in this one. But before leaving to never come back, there was another thing he had to do, "Okay so, number one, I'm going to need physical proof of emo Atsumu with braces, or I will never
