ESPN is in a tough spot. There's little information to pass along on Damar Hamlin, and it would be inappropriate to show highlights of other games. Credit to the network's talent for doing their best under tough circumstances.

It's bogus that St. Bonaventure is on the road for a third consecutive NIT game, 7 p.m. Tuesday at Virginia (ESPN). The Bonnies were a 5-seed in their bracket, the Cavaliers a 6. Another reason the tournament has little credibility.

ESPN deserves nothing but the highest praise for its coverage of the Damar Hamlin situation. Scott Van Pelt and Lisa Salters have engaged in a live, spontaneous and riveting discussion on all aspects.

Latest on the Capital Region sh*t list: ESPN's Rebecca Lobo, who said on the air, “Good luck finding something to do in Albany.” Is she that stupid? You don't make that type of comment to a national TV audience.

Even a domed stadium is vulnerable delays. Power outage at Tropicana Field has delayed Yankees-Rays. They need to get a real MLB stadium in the Tampa area or move the team.
None of WNYT's TV competitors (Spectrum, CBS-6, ABC-10) credited NewsChannel 13 for breaking the story of Joe Cremo and David Nichols leaving the UAlbany basketball program.
That's sloppy, irresponsible reporting. If WNYT didn't report it, we still may not know about it.
Detroit Lions head coach and RPI head Matt Patricia, right, poses with RPI quarterback George Marinopoulos. Patricia is spending the day visiting his alma mater.

While I agree with everything

just said on SportsCenter, I'm not sure that's the proper forum to express such sentiments. Let the athletes and coaches go off on the Texas shooting. That's "outside the lines" for anchors -- news or sports.
The Iowa-LSU women's basketball game Monday night in Albany drew 12.3 million viewers, according to ESPN, making it the most-watched women's basketball game ever.

@awfulannouncing
For longtime DirecTV watchers, tolerating Scott Hanson is a chore. He talks WAY too much.
@AndrewSiciliano
was so much better. We don't need a host trying to do play-by-play. Let the network-paid announcers do that.
Adam Lukla, until this season a starter for

Is there a worse TV analyst in MLB than Cameron Maybin on the Amazon prime/YES Network? He speaks fractured English, calls players by their nicknames ("A.J." for Aaron Judge) and offers little insight. Can't the network borrow Ken Singleton for a few days?

How can these ESPN tennis commentators continue to defend Serena Williams? She got what she deserved. This is part of why ESPN has the worst tennis coverage ever.
Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley announced this morning that beginning next year, there will be a Augusta National Women's Amateur for 72 players, held the week before the Masters.
Gus Johnson: "He needs to stay inbounds." Joel Klatt agrees. Why? There's 7:11 left. The clock doesn't stop on out-of-bounds plays until they're inside five minutes. This Fox telecast has been horrible.

The Barstool Sports presentation of the
#ArizonaBowl
has to be the worst college football production of the 21st century. Announcers are brutal. They're using a double box to show the announcers, minimizing the field. Now we know why ESPN monopolizes college football.
