It always bothered me how so few people care about how there’s almost a million abortions in the United States every year.
Like we literally live in a country that makes the Aztec and Mongol Empires look humane by comparison, but most people just act like it isn’t happening
Even for a pro-choice liberal, shouldn’t it be bothersome that in this supposedly glorious liberal system, abortion is this common and happening at this magnitude?
At a certain point it can’t be written off as just the “cost of liberty”, it’s a condemnation of this entire system

I completely agree.
I used to think it was rare. When I found out how many people have been murdered this way, without even being given a chance....

Made this point to my parents years ago. That objectively the US is killing more innocent people than most past evil empires.
The gears started clicking and before horror could set in the cover went back over their eyes, "that's not the same thing".
@MioHondaFan
It's easy to pay no mind to it in one's daily life. I always thought that a more efficacious way of arguing against it would be to simply highlight people's lack of compassion regarding abortion, instead of arguing about personhood or bio.

I remember being shocked to learn that a quarter of women will have an abortion at some point. I just assumed it was a fringe thing 10% tops

We live in the age of decadence.
We avoid hardship, sacrifice, and discomfort. Women, especially, handle these things poorly in our age because of "equality" and feminism.
Women support abortion to live a carefree life. Men support abortion because they're simps.
