It's been a fantastic few days of November birding for finding late autumn scarce and rare birds with Yellow-browed, Pallas's and Dusky Warblers, Pallid Swifts and Olive-backed Pipits with rarer stuff too! What will you find on your #patchbirding over the next few days? #PWC2025

A little influx of Pallas's Warblers and Swifts (possibly Pallid's?) onto the coasts today, maybe one might turn up on your patch over the weekend?! While Waxwings seem to be turning up more frequently also. Keep us updated with what is on your patch using #patchbirding!

It's been a slow but steady few months on the patch near St Albans. At the weekend, a Wigeon was new for the year. But today, I found a #patchgold Dartford Warbler. A patch tick (29 years!) and Herts rarity. Fortunately my photographer @RupertEvershed was on hand today. #PWC2025

And best of luck for October, fingers crossed for some productive winds and birding! If the sprinkling of Yank and Siberian megas the last couple of days is anything to go by, could be in for an exciting month!
