@PastProsperity @historyinmemes Class of 1999 here. The 90's were a special time. Post-Cold War, pre-9/11, early days of the Internet, network TV, biggest political scandal was the president's sex life, etc. So maybe "yes", but not sure how much is attributable to phones/social media.
