Early results from this poll (from some of the most active people in the Bamboo Central Discord) showed more fatigue from the mk2, with inkjet in the top spot for a while. Later results pushed less traditional ideas more (curling bomb moved down, angle shooter moved up, etc.)

Updated Bamboozler kit hopes tier list from a more recent poll! Generally lower opinions on displacement chip specials (ex. rain, wavebreaker, missiles) and more novel ideas (ex. mine, splashdown, zipcaster) gotten more popular with time

I love how between the dairy industry, oil industry, and manufacturing industry, there is a way to spin this so Bowser's Castle is actually the least evil location in the Lightning cup

If a Splatoon 3 Deluxe with a fixed painting engine happens or Splatoon 4 I think my hype could be rekindled, but for now I might just say in this semi-disengaged state Splatoon captured me with its creativity and thorough design and I think it's lost some of that latter value

I've stopped making Splatoon content for Niko for a while and Chara and I are going to be more specific in the content I'm editing. On my editing break minus SeaBattle stuff and some salmon I haven't really booted up the game

Ultimately, engaging with this game has become hard. I'm not motivated to grind, I'm losing motivation to create for it since it feels like the devs stopped, the few things I want to engage with are limited time and working long Saturdays nukes my chances of playing, etc.

And of course we have the Bamboozler MK II finally It's good... but chumps really lost its luster with time and I ended up focusing partially on Stamper after hitting 5 stars. Unlike S2 Bamboo I think it caps at being a mid-high tier so I'm much less motivated to grind

Content was also crazy this year For Niko, the Top 500 video was cinema and the following Grand Fest stream was actually insane For Chara, the sniper vid is my best work and collabing with the other editors (mainly Cookie) was super fun

I also feel like I engaged with Splatfests a lot? Team Past I was like one win away from top 100 but I also did a decent amount for Team Rice and Team Ninja Big Runs and Eggstra Works were also fun but I feel like they peaked around final fest for me and I haven't grinded since

The main difference this year is Seabattle It happening every 3 months is crazy and there are so many friends I never expected to see regularly that I now do. Despite leaving UW I don't feel disconnected from that community at all mainly thanks to SeaBattle :)

YEAR 10 OF SPLATOON Not the greatest year but there were some highlights. I simultaneously feel like I'm the most and least engaged with this game at any point in my life
