Usually, you get a text like this or some other kind of communication from your shipper a day before offloading. It'll give you time and a place. I would like to commend whoever is in charge of the Apapa Port, that place is well planned and never rowdy, even on busy days.

For Oloye Mobility, the only part of the process we outsource is the shipping. Everything else is done by a family member or myself. - Sourcing and bidding. - Payment - Haulage to port - Shipping (outsourced) - Clearing - Offloading - Repairs monitoring - Delivery.

There are people in charge of the offloading. They do all the heavy lifting. The advantage of a containerised shipment over roll-on roll-off (single shipment) is that nobody has access to the contents of the container asides the shipper and you. So a lot of people use it as

an opportunity to send other goods home. Nobody will touch whatever you sent. RoRo shipments are liable to theft. Because other people open the container and offload. So whatever is inside the car/container can get stolen while in the yard. These are some of what I received.

I have become the envy of all the children on my street because I have been riding a kid's bike everywhere that doesn't require driving. I think everyone should ride a bike a size below their normal size. They are easier to control. I have only fallen off once 🤣

want. Insofar you're not carrying a contraband. The containers get scanned for contraband like guns and other banned items. As you can see, the car is fully loaded. Some of it is not even mine even though they came inside my car. The shipper has customers that always send.

From here, the goods or cars are moved. If it's a No-Runner i.e accident cars. You can always bring a mechanic to fix it right there or have it towed. The park charges N3k per day for parking, N2k gate fee. You can rent a battery to start the car for N1k and 5h to pump a tire.

Once you have all the proper customs clearance, the goods can move and the rest you sort on the streets of Lagos. I have heard cases of "street boys" stealing from tokunbo cars or cargo but it has never happened to me. That's a Lagos/human problem. From here, goods or cars
