Hills West Girls Varsity Soccer wrapped up the regular season at 12-2, and Ghita Haouzi set new school records along the way! Ghita now holds the records for Most Goals in a Season (29), Most Goals in a Career (64), and Most Points in a Career (154)! #HHHCSD

Ms. Belz’s 2nd graders at Paumanok are studying materials & their uses in science. They learned how scientists use observations to classify materials based on their properties, and then worked to complete an investigation where they had to classify a variety of materials. #HHHCSD

Students in 1st grade classes at Otsego embarked on an exciting nature walk to discover and examine a variety of leaves. This exploration enhances their understanding of the natural world and encourages their curiosity about the environment around them. #HHHCSD

At last night's Board of Ed meeting, Interim Superintendent Brian Conboy was sworn in & welcomed to the district. Students from East & West were also recognized as College Board National African American, Hispanic, 1st Gen or Indigenous Recognition Program Scholars! #HHHCSD

Congrats to Hills East's Rayyan Mehmood, Mia Pannella and Syon Sharma on being nominated by faculty as "Students of the Month" for September in one or more of the following categories: Academics, Service/ Community Activities, School Involvement or Effort/Improvement. #HHHCSD

The Vanderbilt Student Council was recently visited by two therapy dogs, Pumpkin and Cupcake. These sweet pups brought a smile to everyone’s face, did some tricks and received lots of love. #HHHCSD

The Melville Fire Department recently visited Sunquam Elementary for Fire Safety Month. They taught the students about fire safety tips and even allowed them to check out the fire trucks! #HHHCSD

West French club held a fundraiser breakfast sale where students and staff could purchase warmed croissants imported from France! Délicieux! They were raising money to help adopt a family for Half Hollow Hills Helping Our Own during the upcoming holiday season. #HHHCSD

Congrats to our Hills West Boys Golf Team for qualifying for the @SectXISuffolk team championship! Harry Wolk, Jake Casamento & Will Israel also qualified for the Section XI Individual Championship, where Harry became a two-time state qualifier by finishing 5th. #HHHCSD

Congratulations to Hills West's Ainsley Waite and Oliver Mauer on being cast for this year's production of Broadway Supports LIHSA (Long Island High School for the Arts)! #HHHCSD

The Candlewood Cross Country teams recently ran in the Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park, where the boy's team had an impressive race coming in 2nd place overall & the girl's team also had a great finish, coming in 6th place overall. Excellent effort by both teams! #HHHCSD

Our middle school and junior varsity Field Hockey Teams got into the Halloween spirit by dressing up in costumes at a recent practice! #HHHCSD

Otsego 5th graders from Mr. Brown's class embarked on a fascinating scientific exploration by dissecting owl pellets. These compact, regurgitated masses reveal the hidden secrets of an owl's diet, sparking a sense of wonder and curiosity among the young learners. #HHHCSD

Mrs. Garcia’s young scientists at West Hollow Middle School tested their hypothesis by adding food coloring to water to see if it would change the color of white flowers. We love seeing science in action! #HHHCSD

Orange you glad it’s fall? The students in Ms. Lennon’s class at Paumanok had a blast investigating their pumpkins! They measured the height, weight, and circumference, and described the pumpkins’ many properties. #HHHCSD

The Mondays Matter Club, along with a cheerful dancing Minion, welcomed West Hollow students and teachers with high-fives and smiles. Everyone loved the positive energy, making it a fantastic way to kick off the day! #HHHCSD

Hills East & West students had an exciting opportunity this week at the Mini College Fairs where they connected with representatives from colleges and universities across the country. #HHHCSD

Students from the Hills West National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society and Key Club came together to participate in the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer's at Yaphank Farms, raising an incredible $5,000 in support of the cause! #HHHCSD
