The FCT Minister made the call in Abuja on Thursday, July 24, 2024 when he carried out an inspection visit to the ongoing construction of the 5km temporary access road from the Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX) to the old Keffi road in AMAC, also known as Saburi road.

Guards Brigade received 3 operational vehicles, while the Nigeria Air Force Camp, Abuja, the Naval Unit, Abuja, the Nigeria Immigration Service and NDLEA, FCT Commands, got one vehicle each and the FCTA Advance Party/Security Monitoring unit received six operational vehicles.

Of the 50 operational vehicles, the Nigeria Police Force, FCT Command received 24 vehicles, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, FCT Command and the Department of State Services, FCT Command got eight and five vehicles respectively.

As part of efforts to check insecurity in the Federal Capital Territory, the FCT Minister, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has presented 50 operational vehicles equipped with communication gadgets to security agencies in the FCT.

This is the second NEAPS award for the Minister. In 2022, he was the recipient for excellence in infrastructure delivery as Governor of Rivers State.

The event took place at the Presidential Villa banquet hall & was attended by the Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima. The criteria for recognition include significantly improving public service delivery & courageously undertaking risks to drive positive change amongst others.

The FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike was honored at the Nigerian Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS) with the award of excellence in infrastructural delivery at the Federal level as the Hon. Minister of the FCT.
