This opens up context-tuning as an alternative to fine-tuning. Instead of training specialized models, you measure energy plateau to find optimal context length. Think SQL generation that adapts to any database schema in real-time, or domain expertise through structured prompts.

The Principle Component Analysis visualizations are amazing. Words like "apple" and "bird" start clustered by semantic meaning, then reorganize into artificial graph structures based purely on context. The model overrides years of pretraining with enough structured examples.

They proved this by measuring Dirichlet energy in the model's internal representations. As you add more context examples, energy drops suddenly when the model "gets it". Then performance jumps. You can watch the model have an aha moment by tracking mathematical energy curves.
