@NomadicAllo @thedaytimes117 They are not so different from each other canonically, after all it was thanks to the guide of ships and machinery of the saga that we were told that they were machines for investigation and patrolling and then they were used as weapons in the purest style of Halo Legends.

@Sol_Vasum We see it happen a few times in Halo 5. It knockout the Swords of Sanghelios and Covenant fleet at Suniaon, disables Earth’s orbital defenses, and a majority of the cities on Earth

@Archival_Mind Six small scale lasers that are used to destroy warships belonging to factions that have lower tiered technology than the Forerunners. Said lasers are said to not be able to destroy ships so if they’re not able to destroy a forerunner ship cracking a planet like a egg is insane

@NomadicAllo I mean hey, they had to do *something* to make Cortana and the Guardians completely unempathetic and evil so they can be justifiably killed off-screen and then sweep H5 under the rug. 🤷🏻

@NomadicAllo I don’t deny that this is a plot hole, it is… but c’mon haha it’s sci-fi, I’d allow them to skip a few points in lore-logic as long as the overall experience is good and with infinite’s campaign, to me at least is beyond good so I’ll give it a pass
