Congratulations, Nick, who received his CBE yesterday. On being awarded the honour, Nick said that he was "honoured and delighted" but "just surprised that the Award is given for services to music rather than to the used car trade!"

received a CBE for services to Music from The Duke of Cambridge. Nicholas featured on every album produced by the band since he co-founded them in 1965.

Today in 2006, Roger Waters performed at London's Hyde Park. The second half of the show consisted of Dark Side Of The Moon, with Nick Mason on drums alongside Graham Broad. Here's a picture of Nick, Roger, and Andy Fairweather-Low from that day...
