1/19 Did you know Bengaluru has a diverse collection of trees that bloom all year? When the city was planned aeons ago, the trees were chosen in such a way that when one tree ceased blooming, another tree took its place. Bengaluru's seasons are a floral symphony.

This tweet is in memory of my father who would have celebrated his 78th birthday today. The house is the one he grew up in Amaravathipudur, near Karaikudi. While the place was always hot and dry from the red arid soil, this house a green heaven.

Morning I wondered if I could create Shiva & had no idea how to. While rummaging through my boxes found these pebbles & worked all morning to find a form. It was nearing completion and an ant heaved the sweet thumbai flower from the arrangement like offering 😊

A sackcloth dripping with water placed in a clay bowl for wasps and bees. It is a simple setup to quench their thirst and also prevents drowning. The clay keeps the water cool.
Rinse the cloth in the morning and leave it in the bowl. By evening it will dry up. Rinse, repeat 😀
