Mounds of frost feathers formed in sub zero temperatures on Sat night and covered this frozen northern Lake George bay on Sunday morning. There were also a few scattered patches of 'black ice' that gave a view to the gravel lake bottom along the shoreline. https://t.co/Nz3x1AfRzl

@mccreary_pierce It varied from inches to perhaps 3 to 5 feet at the deepest where you can see it in the photo
