@NYJewishWeek @FabioDL @RabbiWolpe Rabbi Wolpe is a formidable figure. I therefore tread cautiously when I express reservations about his use of the word 'central.' After all, the Temples were as central as anything ever was (subsequent enactments notwithstanding) and animals were routinely sacrificed within it.
