Can you believe Christmas at Killerton is only 3 weeks away? It's a big job for the elves to get the house ready, so it's in different stages of decoration right now... but don't worry, from Saturday 30 November you can see it in all its glory 🎄 (1/3)

We’ve looked forward too, thinking about fashion of the future with our young curators from Girl Guiding. Thank you to them and to you all for taking part. Now you’ve seen the exhibition, what do you think? Do children have more freedom now than in the past? 📸 S Haywood

Often lined in colourful silks, they could cost as much as 30 shillings - that’s about £60 today, the equivalent of 4 days wages for a skilled tradesman in 1925. You can see it in person when our new exhibition of 1920s fashion opens in February. No spiders permitted! 📸S Tobin

Looking for some Halloween inspo? How about a spider-web themed bag to go with your best scary outfit? Very demure, very cutesey... This glass beaded bag mounted on a metal frame was made in the 1920s. Beaded bags like these were available in a variety of shapes and designs.
