Our high streets are under assault by organised crime - undercutting honest traders and draining life from local centres. In @CommonsBTC , we asked the National Crime Agency for the facts on the scale of the problem. What they told us will shock you:

🚗💨 Speeding is one of the biggest issues residents raise with me and I know how much it is impacting our communities in Hodge Hill and Solihull North. That’s why earlier this month I had a productive meeting with WMPCC Simon Foster about the speeding issues hitting our area.

Four vehicles have been seized, Two on Washwood heath Road, One on Woodcote Road and One in Crawford Street for being untaxed, damaged or abandoned.

Hodge Hill officers and the Firs and Bromford street watch group have conducted a 2 hour patrol around the area addressing any concerns from the local community and giving out much appreciated crime prevention advice on the run up to the Christmas period. #Streetwatch

Hodge Hill officers have conducted a crime prevention surgery at Tesco Hodge Hill today, we have given out crime prevention advice on the run up to Christmas and have engaged with the local community and addressed any concerns they have.

Tonight Bordesley Green officers have conducted a weapons sweep in Henry Barber park. Flytipping in the park has also been reported to the council.
