We paid a courtesy visit to His Eminence Archbishop Mor Philoxenus Yusuf Çetin, Patriarchal Vicar of the Syriac Orthodox Church. In a lively meeting various matters related to the Syriac community in TR&EU were discussed. The visit concluded with a tour of the Virgin Mary Church.

Dr Tarlach McGonagle, gave the annual Cleveringa Lecture in Istanbul. “Repurposing freedom of expression in inforuptive times” was a thought-provoking lecture that explored the role of governments in providing a safe & enabling environment for public participation.

Türkiye and the Netherlands hold regular consultations on a wide range of issues. During my visit to 🇹🇷, I met with law makers, public institutions and civil society for open exchanges on #humanrights. @DutchMFA remains committed to these dialogues and to promoting human rights.
