An excellent workshop by @allthingssmall8 and team at the @NWNeonatalODN study day, showing the great work they have done to reduce intubation rates in preterm infants by maintaining adequate PEEP from delivery.

A great presentation by Dr Rhia Netherton at the @NWNeonatalODN study day. We are very proud to say that thermoregulation at delivery has improved significantly at LWNC following these implementations.

Well done to Kirsty Hartley, Dr Raji Seethamraju and the team on their presentation of implementing a nurse led ward round at the @NWNeonatalODN study day. A great intervention offering more autonomy to the nurses and greater involvement for parents!

Thanks @MatNeoSIP for having me speak of optimal cord management experience in our unit. Great experience sharing and learning from all NW units . Such focused initiatives are very helpful #Matneo

I have often wondered why despite such strong evidence, a simple intervention like administration of probiotics is only practiced in 20 odd% units across UK. Happy to say our premies have begun to have this goodie😉. Thanks @drpaulclarke for the guidance @NICU_LWNC

A very interesting review and results. We have moved to using NIPPV for extreme preterms with RDS and have noted a reduction in extubation failure.
New systematic review finds Non-invasive ventilation reduced BPD but not mortality and reduced primary extubation failure, compared with CPAP, among premature infants with RDS. https://t.co/BQLg22v8GF
