Construction is scheduled to begin next week to resurface State Road 16 from State Road 13 to County Road 16A. P&S Paving, Inc. was awarded the contract to complete this $2.05 million project by mid-2026, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

Early Tuesday morning, a pair of runners crossing the Main Street Bridge heard the distinctive cries of a cat trapped under the bridge deck. FDOT was contacted to help rescue the stranded feline.
