Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“Enough as a punishment for sins is that it prevents you from worshipping Allāh,
even if you wanted to.”

Sometimes you don't even get the chance to make dua, even though you want to and the worst of all is feeling nothing when you're sinning.
