In honour of bookshops reopening today, we want to know your favourite bookshops!
Do you have a favourite indie, or a go-to branch of a large retailer?
Let us know where you'll be headed first!
@Mslexia
Mine has to be the gorgeous
@GoldenHareBooks
in Edinburgh, it's cosy and has a great selection & friendly service. I love their surprise books (i.e. books wrapped up with a gift tag describing them) as it's like buying a surprise present for yourself or someone else. 💕📚📚
@Mslexia
Oh, how I love bookshops! My favourites are
@Foyles
and
@Waterstones
- the staff are always happy to help and talk about books in both chains. The literary atmosphere in stores are unmissable! 🤓
@Mslexia
Barter books up in Alnwick is our often go to! Although we tend to just head to the Newcastle centre Waterstones for new books on the occasions we get them
@Mslexia
Huge love to
@drakebookshop
in Stockton, who are chocka-stocked with the most glorious books, and also signed copies of my
@badbettypress
collection Passerine cos they let me Zoom launch inside 💕
@Mslexia
For me it's
@BooksAlbans
Super local indie bookshop, who've created a magical space and only been open just over a year, most of which during the pandemic has been online or click and collect.

@Mslexia
@GoldenHareBooks
and
@Lighthousebks
it was hard to pick one! Both with a lovely atmosphere really, got some great books from them (just love when you go in for something and then buy something else entirely)
