It was a busy day at @Dale_City_ES. Glad to have the opportunity to pop into a 1st and 2nd grade room and see all students engaged in learning centers. Students at were able to explain their thinking when I talked to them! @KMesterhazy @brijslater @ShauntelBaldwin @PWCSmath

I always enjoy visiting kindergarten. So many different centers to practice counting, numbers, and combinations. Loved that the T had the students bring her their dry erase work so she could check it before center time was over! Accountability matters! @Bel_Air_ES @PWCSmath

Yesterday's PWCS Game of 24 Competition was a great success. Thank you to all of the students, families, school coordinators, and school volunteers. You are what make this possible. The best part of the day: seeing students support and congratulate each other @PWCSNews @PWCSmath

3rd graders at @RiverOaksPWCS has lots of great noticings/ wonderings about the thermometer with lots of prior knowledge to build upon! 1st graders created and modeled great story problems to match a given equation. While lining up to leave we did a quick number talk @PWCSmath

Had a great time helping facilitate the VDOE Rich Task: Pouring Paints yesterday at @KilbyTigers. ALL students were engaged in finding ways to combine fractional cups of paint without the cup overflowing @PWCSmath @PWCSOSL @PWCSNews @ChanelEvelyn5 @tuthill_amy

Saw some very old 4th grade teachers today during my visit to @FeatherstonePWC celebrating the 100th day of school. Also got to see a @SteveWyborney 3 container estimation number routine & a game for practicing decimal multiplication models. What a great visit! @PWCSmath @PwcsI

Spent yesterday afternoon at @Bel_Air_ES. So many reasons the clocks were the same/different in 1st! VDOE rich task in 2nd with students finding lots of ways to solve! & got to practice my Spanish during a fraction lesson in the dual immersion class! Such fun! @PwcsI @PWCSmath

4th & 5th graders at @Dale_City_ES were hard at work yesterday using VDOE & PWCS Canvas resources to practice geometry and decimal multiplication. Fav. thing was seeing two Ss helping each other: "Do you understand now? ‐ Yes!!!" - As the 2nd S then taught me! @PWCSmath @PwcsI

Monday's Classified Day was a great success working with TAs who support math instruction to learn available tools and games/activities to do with small groups of Ss. We had so much fun playing games from Investigations & DNC! Great conversation & engagement! @PWCSmath @PWCSNews

Fantastic day at @MNEStheBest yesterday. The 1st grade teachers Mrs. G coteaches with were on day 2 of centers and you'd never know it was only day 2! The Ss taught me how to play the games and showed me IXL/all their ribbons & medals! So much fun and engagement! @PwcsI @PWCSNews
