Wonderful news and so well deserved @betsylevyp! So much of her work has inspired our work in LMIC.
Congratulations to professor Elizabeth Levy Paluck, named 2024 David Riesman Fellow by @TheAAPSS for "her work on prejudice and conflict reduction and the development of social norms in a variety of environments."

A favorite quotation from Danny Kahneman: "Nothing in life is as important as you think it is when you are thinking about it." (Except Danny.)

Very sad news. What a privilege to have had Danny Kahneman as the guiding star and moral compass of our field. His values shine through in everything written about him. Exemplary empirical humility - never scared to say he didn't know something. Always excited to test and learn
Today we’ve lost a giant and a visionary: Prof. Daniel Kahneman has passed at the age of 90. The Princeton SPIA community shares our condolences with his family and all who knew him, learned from him, and loved him.

My dream for the future of SBC - for the Global North to be learning more from the evidence we are generating in the Global South. For SBC and evidence-based policies to eventually become such commonplace that one day we'll wonder how we weren't doing this all along. (2/2)

The Impact Award goes to The Behavioural Insights Team, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH), the Behavioural Insights Unit in the federal government (BIU), and a local developer, ECOM who designed a new chat service to encourage Covid-19 vaccination in Argentina.

I am a dutch, widowed parent, of a British child. I live in the UK on a parent visa and my daughter is happily growing up here, near my late wife's family and our friends. Last week @ukhomeoffice cancelled my right to be here. In error. A thread to put the record straight.
