🚩More illegal traps in @peakdistrict Horrified walkers found a series of highly illegal uncovered Fenn traps on a grouse moor- with a live victim who could not be saved. Yet more blatant wildlife crime in our national park. Please RT. @WarOnWildlife @ChrisGPackham @FoxHITeam

🚩Illegal spring traps kill indiscriminately on Yorkshire moorland. ▪️These spring traps are set illegally (uncovered), meaning they can catch and kill any species. ▪️ This poor hen pheasant was found trapped and dead with a broken neck 🧵

🐰Gamekeepers using Mountain Hare as bait in spring traps. ▫️Iconic @peakdistrict wildlife once again hacked up and used as bait. ▫️DOC traps are used to kill small mammals, in order to raise more grouse and pheasant to shoot for fun. ▫️This cycle of death needs to be broken.

Well done to @HuntSabs and @Channel4News for exposing this! How many other police forces are protecting bloodsports industries? We've seen similar bias on shooting estates. Wildlife needs all the protection we can offer, up against corruption like this🦊 https://t.co/y6cZ6mJg3N

Happy Winter Solstice to all in the northern hemisphere. The turn of the year's tide, a pivot-point, a day of hope—when the dark stops rising & after which the Sun begins its slow climb back. A day I mark in my mind much more than Christmas or New Year. Fiat lux! 📷 by

Raven found shot dead next to grouse moor in notorious Peak District raptor persecution hotspot. S. Yorkshire Police take 3.5 months to appeal for witnesses. No surprise that illegal killing continues in this part of the National Park. New blog ⬇️ https://t.co/IcnlWsip5c

A Raven was found shot near Agden Side Road, Bradfield, in the #PeakDistrict. Do you have any information that could help the Police in their investigation? It is believed the bird was shot between 24-25 August. Ravens are a protected species - to shoot one is a crime.

➰Snares set in snow and freezing weather in @peakdistrict. ❄️Snares should never be used 'if forecasted weather conditions are likely to cause poor welfare'. 🦊Victims suffer hypothermia, injuries and terror before being shot. 📸Please monitor urgently for suffering wildlife.
