My husband was involved in playtesting the original and got a copy as thanks... I remember being completely enthralled by it, even though I didn't play at the time

Omg yes! I have had to make due in my campaign with Ptolus scraps as I didn't want to do a reprint. My old GM had the originals and it was amazing!
