My 10 yr old nephew waited 45 mins with a broken femur before finally being transported by firetruck b/c of no available ambulances. Traumatizing for him, his mom and his siblings who called 911.
Life doesn't get much more real than this. I realize AHS is only working within the constraints of the #abpoli UCP. I knew the system was in trouble but relying on it was a whole other terrifying experience. #SupportOurFrontLineWorkers

About to begin my 26th year of teaching this morning and I got a restful, uninterrupted sleep last night (not!) đ

My heart breaks for our frontline healthcare workers who had to deal with this today.

If you want to protest, fine. You feel strongly, and want to express your frustration, you can. Personally, I would have picked a spot with more visibility and presence than our usually quiet...

To all the nurses, doctors, paramedics & hospital front line workers⌠donât let todayâs anti-vaxx protesters get under your skin. The vast majority of Canadians appreciate you, and the amazing job youâve all done. We have your back, and always will.

Last year, in an attempt to avoid saying 'boys and girls' I started using the term 'snickerdoodles' when addressing my students. They LOVED it! This year I will have to switch it up a bit and try some of the terms below. @sd33learns @inclusion
A reminder that every time someone uses "guys" to address a group, there are many people that are not included. There's plenty of respectful options from @sylviaduckworth. I'm guilty of it, too. Retrain your brain, be better

So thrilled with how my new sound wall/vowel valley turned out! Thanks @SimplyKinder! Much bigger and brighter than the last one. Can't wait to use it with my grade one class - bring on the new school year! @sd33learns @SoR @structuredliteracy

He had openheart surgery in July and is high risk. We don't mind waiting our turn, but having the pharmacies decide who gets it is NOT working. You should not have to know someone who knows someone to get vaccinated. #CovidVaccineRace #adriandix #notintheknow #frustrated

Last Wed he started calling and had no luck anywhere. He was told to call Shoppers after 4 pm that day. When he got thru at 4:07 all appts were booked. London Drugs apparently had some more come in...all gone by the time we heard about it. 2/

So incredibly frustrated with the 55-65 yr old 'pharmacy based' covid shot roll out. Been trying since last Wed to get my partner in. Information seems to be disseminated thru word of mouth and we are always just one step behind. This is NOT how things should be handled. 1/

I can't believe that this cutie pie is turning 19 today! How is possible?? I'm certain that it was just yesterday that he looked like this. And I can't POSSIBLY be old enough to have a 19-year-old kid, can I? đ#bestbirthdaypresent #myheart

WARNING: whiny baby post ahead... The more I talk to ppl about their xmas plans, the more I feel like I'm the only one going to follow the rules. It seems everyone else is going to see their family. The 2nd child in me is stomping and screaming "it's not FAIR!" Am I the only one?

A portrait of me that one of my students drew. I love the way he added the pink highlights in my hair and the face shield that I wear every day! đ #sd33learns #covidportrait #gradeonedrawing #isthatwhatIreallylooklike

A perfect day for a nature walk! We are so lucky to have a wonderful park near out school where the Ss can run, splash in puddles, explore trees and roll down the hill. The construction site along the way is just a bonus! #sd33learns #naturewalk #outdoorlearning

No physical distancing in my K/1 class but the Ss know that, due to covid, they are not supposed to touch each other. This is their solution for when they want to dance with their friend.đIt makes me sad that they need to be cautious, but I love the ingenuity! #sd33learns

Give people the benefit of the doubt when you can, especially if the story doesnât ring true. Finally, as we teach the children in our care if you are not willing to say it to someoneâs face, donât post it on FB. Thank you for your attention.
