@MomsPostingLs I wouldn't. People change over time and as they get more comfortable they will take you for granted. Not all cases are this screwed up but it's not worth the risk. It's far less likely if you share the same DNA.

@MomsPostingLs Was a Step-parent for ten years as well, Father was a good enough guy but not super involved. I did the work, he got to be the "cool parent". As others have said, it's a thankless job but I relished having a family and being a parent, was the best thing I have ever done.
