My mom always told us not to worry about what other ppl were thinking because she could guarantee it wasn't about us - they were thinking about themselves, LOL.

Heard it called “imaginary audience” by a shrink. Had a friend in her 20s refuse to roll down her windows in the heat of summer because her AC was broke but did not want anyone to know she could afford to fix it. Total strangers on a road were not thinking about her. 💯😀

At 20 I worried, when wearing my ugly undies, that my boyfriend might see them that day.
At 40 I worried that the ER docs might see them that day.
At 60 I worried that the medical examiner might see them that day.
At 80 I’ll stop wearing undies.
