Humanitarian Coordinator for #Ukraine, Matthias Schmale @matzschmale condemned the strike that hit a clearly marked humanitarian evacuation vehicle in #Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Region, while it was helping civilians flee a war-torn city. Humanitarian missions are #NotATarget.

November 8, Kostyantynivka. At 9:30 right in the city center, the only evacuation car of the @MissionProliska Humanitarian Mission was attacked — the same car that daily took people out of the most dangerous streets, where explosions were still heard.

After another night of attacks, 62 y.o. Alla decided to flee her home in Dnipropetrovsk region. At 4 am, shaken & emotionally exhausted, she called UNHCR’s partner @MissionProliska for help to evacuate. As many other evacuees, Alla has now received legal & psychosocial support.

Since the beginning of the escalation on July 17, as of October 30, the Proliska Humanitarian Mission has evacuated 15,000 people, including 2,583 children and 960 people who are seriously ill or unable to move independently @MissionProliska

The humanitarian mission "Proliska" initially arrived with aid to the village of Sm’yach, Novgorod-Siverskyi community, Chernihiv region. The village is located 19 kilometers from the state border, and due to constant danger, public transport could not reach it for a long time.

Before the winter, we are starting to distribute quick home insulation kits and electric heaters. This is assistance from @UNHCR for vulnerable families living in old houses with wooden windows. Today, @MissionProliska operated in the village of Grushivka (Dnipropetrovsk region.)

On October 18, 2025, at 17:38, the city of Lozova, Kharkiv region, was subjected to another shelling. An enemy missile hit a private sector, causing significant destruction. @UNHCRUkraine

These villages in Dnipropetrovsk region are located on the shores of the former Kakhovka reservoir. They are less than 10 km from the occupied territory. This means that the Russian army has easy access to attack with various types of weapons @OCHA_Ukraine

Yevhen Kaplin, together with the UN System Coordinator in Ukraine @matzschmale, Minister @MinSocUA Denys Ulyutin opened the ARTAK`s shelter for people with limited mobility in Zaporizhzhia. @MissionProliska provided for the renovation and furnishing of the shelter.

@MissionProliska helps people in vulnerable categories prepare for winter. Yesterday in the Zaporizhzhia region, our team distributed quick home insulation kits and heaters to 24 families. Thanks to our partners at @UNHCRUkraine for their support and trust.

On the evening of October 1, an Iskander-M missile attacked peaceful Balakliya. An elderly woman was killed. A total of 10 people were injured, including a 4-year-old girl who suffered an acute stress reaction. @MissionProliska @UNHCRUkraine

The @MissionProliska team immediately left for the affected location, where until late in the evening they provided assistance from @UNHCRUkraine - the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine to families whose homes were damaged as a result of shelling.
