We celebrated 80 years since VE Day today, with party food and party games. It’s so important that we celebrate peace and all who gave their lives for the lives we live today. #makingthemostofeveryday 💙

A fantastic start to our two week Welsh heritage topic ‘Markham’s Marvellous Medicine’. Who looks after us here in Markham and makes us better when we are poorly? We explored an ambulance and the equipment used by paramedics who help people everyday!

This week we have started our new story, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. We noticed that the giant had been on our playground!!!We came up with different ways to measure his footprints. They were even bigger than Mrs Lewis and Miss Jones’ feet!🌱🫘🦶#makingthemostofeveryday 💙

Did someone say snow?! We had a brilliant morning outside exploring the snow. We practiced writing our names, painted pictures and even made snow angels!❄️ #makingthemostofeveryday 💙

Leaf Man has blown in and has left us some challenges! We have been exploring our areas- leaf collages to make poppies, building a place for Leaf Man to stay, a cosy home corner where we have enjoyed a cup of tea and a biscuit. Don’t worry, we washed up afterwards!🍂

We have talked about what makes a good friends. We used a variety of colours, materials and textures to create a friend for the little white owl. 🦉#makingthemostofeveryday 💙

In Dosbarth Apple, we have been responding to the front cover of our new class text. We gave our partner a prediction about what will happen. “I think that…” and they replied, “Good idea, but I disagree because…”. We found it tricky but really enjoyed building our oracy skills!
