code can be tangled in an objective, execution graph way, or it can have a simple inner structure you haven't found yet because the codebase isn't written to make the factorings obvious. hard for anyone to think about v.s. hard for anyone to onboard to thinking about

without deeply accepting all realities our brains prefer believing in those that feel okay, and this is the beginning of delusion. become okay with every reality, and you won't need to correct for cognitive biases nearly as often. the realer path to sanity, imo

I donāt think you can start with what kind of thing should be, I think you have to start with what kind of thing you are and what steering you can do and choose the best way to steer

sleeping at 8 doesn't seem that hard if you enjoy the quiet morning hours more than anything else you could be doing 8-12

(this is actually a slightly more accurate version of what I do. the unconditionally welcoming fragment isn't me, and the expectations and resistance aren't me either. they're just both there.)

another path: the sense that expectations and resistance are you is not relevant to the unconditionally welcoming fragment, which is not you, it's just there doing it's thing :)
