Portfolio update: $117k Down from $125k at its peak in February. This is how a properly diversified portfolio behaves during a market downturn. Seeing way too many people freaking out about their portfolio getting cut in half from a 10% drop in the S&P.

Currently at $4,500 out of $7,000 toward maxing my 2025 Roth IRA—on track to finish by April. After that, it’s back to growing my brokerage account that will be used to fund my early retirement. 💰

Most of the contributions to my portfolio came in late 2024, so I missed much of the recent bull run. I missed out on generational returns that we may never see again. I know it’s cliché, but a market sell-off is a huge opportunity for a young investor in accumulation phase.

Last week I was on gambling site for sh*ts and giggles just to collect the free daily bonus they give you and spun a .25 cent slot two times and won $1,050 lol Guess my luck will be dry for a long time now lol

Update: This past week my dad moved into his own apartment! This is a huge milestone for him and im so happy for him 🥹
My number one goal in life is to buy my dad a home. He currently lives in a homeless shelter, and it breaks my heart. I want to get him his own place, but I also need to prioritize my financial stability. How do you balance these conflicting priorities?

A huge benefit for me to sticking with ETF’s is the complete freedom from worrying about taking profits. Seeing your stock run up 10, 20, 50, 100% is nice but you havent made any money until you actually sell. ETF’s allow me to sleep easy at night 😴
