My son is going in for an emergency appendectomy right now. He’s 8 years old. I had to reassure him over FaceTime everything would be ok as he was hysterical crying and scared to get surgery. At least my wife could be there. Fuck you covid, fuck you.

Im so sorry, also I hope he does great. I am a children’s hospital OR nurse and understand the pain and grief parents feel in this moment at the best of times... now with covid it’s even more gutting. ❤️
