With Duke winning an 8th game and bowl opponent Memphis at 8-4, NC State will have played 9 FBS teams with 8+ wins in 2025, most in the country
NC State played 7 FBS teams with 8+ wins. That’s 2nd most in the country. NC State went 4-3 in those games and 7-5 overall. The only team that played more was Wisconsin with 8. They went 2-6 in those games and 4-8 overall. State could match 8 FBS teams with 8+ wins if Duke

Having an early bowl game is great to get a jump on the off-season. Staff will have two weeks after the bowl game to focus solely on the portal before it opens on Jan 2nd

It ended up not mattering with Miami getting in but I’m not sure the ACC/Jim Phillips is to blame too much. Not at least when it came to this tiebreaker scenario. It’s the same as the SEC/Big Ten. I blame the teams like Miami who lost to Louisville and GT who lost to us and Duke

I pretty much nailed my evaluation of the football schedule in August. 2-0 in >80% 3-1 in 60%-80% games 2-2 in 50/50 games 0-2 in <40% games
Here is how I would evaluate the schedule right now: >80% win ECU Campbell 60%-80% win UVA at Wake VT UNC 50% win at Duke at Pitt GT FSU 20%-40% win at Miami <20% win at Notre Dame

Not gonna freak out just because of a road loss to a top 20 SEC team but the lack of defense we’ve seen is concerning. NCAA bid comes down to Kansas at home and Ole Miss in Greensboro unless you pull off a stunningly good ACC record. 18-2 in the ACC got Louisville an 8 seed last

Well deserved for all these guys. Feel like Peak got slighted a little here with only HM. He was really really good this year. Also didn’t expect him to make a team but a little shocked CJ Bailey got no honorable mention. He was top 5 in pretty much every passing category.
NC State senior middle linebacker Caden Fordham, senior tight end Justin Joly, and redshirt sophomore running back Daylan Smothers earned first-team All-ACc honors. Redshirt junior left tackle Jacarrius Peak and senior punter Caden Noonkester were honorable mention All-ACC.
