I see every day, walking to my office, the iconic frames of "The Horse in Motion" @TorontoMet 's The Image Centre: capturing movement once invisible to the human eye (reminded also of the bet businessman Leland Stanford wanted to settle! ) Today, we use high-speed microbubble

Fun fact. Voyager 1, currently over 15 billions miles away (roughly 2.5 light hours), still operates using 69 KB of memory, 8 track tape and Fortran code written in 1977.

Scientists used a powerful acoustic field to float a liquid droplet in the air, and by changing the frequency they were able to make it star-shaped. Frequencies create waves that surround us.

I love Frosh Week - always brings the cycle of life into focus. New students flow in, new dreams take root, & the lifeblood of the University renews itself. Each generation carries forward the legacy, while shaping its own. And this year, with the @tmu_medicine inaugural class.

Teaching AI to 'behave' does resemble raising a child in some ways. Both processes require patience, clear guidance & an evolving understanding of context & values. But AI learns through data rather than empathy, & without a moral compass unless we explicitly provide one. Ethical
