Another great response to Gavin Ortlund's anti-annihilationism video from earlier this year. https://t.co/6OCDDGOfmX

I am not nearly progressive enough in my thinking to reconsider the legacy of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis.

"You don't have any standards, so why should I?" is not something Christians — especially in positions of leadership — should ever say or even think.

When you press those who believe in eternal conscious hell but without fire and torture for a biblical case for their view, pretty much 100% of the time you get silence or them bowing out saying the conversation won't be productive. I find that telling. https://t.co/0yPihCCKjH

Genesis 2:17 doesn't teach that death in the Bible means conscious separation from God. Here are some reasons why: https://t.co/mPUxMtRWXv

If anyone still thinks that God being infinite is a good argument why a finite person's finite sins warrant infinite, eternal torment in hell, then they are wrong. https://t.co/2fqCeXWGjv

Ignorance is not the same as stupidity. But it can be a reflection of stupidity. In a world where we have search engines, there is sometimes no excuse for not having a basic understanding of something. We see this with a lot with people who have conspiratorial thinking.

If you've ever heard of annihilationism, you've probably at least heard Matthew 10:28 mentioned. Here is why (with the right link this time): https://t.co/x054YpRGWE

If eternal conscious hell is true (it isn't), then it is eternal burning and physical torment. Any view that it is without fire and extreme pain actively inflicted by God/God's agents, "not a divine torture chamber," etc. is indefensible and a cop out. https://t.co/0yPihCCKjH

My latest at Rethinking Hell. I'll say it until the cows come home. You don't get to be part of the club by belieiving in eternal conscious hell and then also air condition it to the point that it is unrecognizable in history or scripture. https://t.co/K3UaWTunXe

As an annihilationist, I often am confronted with the argument that if a cult or other false religion teaches your view of hell, then your view of hell is suspect. However, just because Islam teaches eternal conscious hell doesn't mean we can reject the view on that basis alone.

Honestly don’t know what’s going on. You have well known liberal pundits finally arguing for growing the pie instead of trying to redistribute it and that the bureaucracy is failing people while prominent people on the right are adopting Marxist talking points about the need to

When discussing any potential statutes that criminalize elective abortion at any given point, we must remember that in the United States, you can't charge someone with a crime for something in the past that was legal at the time. Any such law would only apply going forward.

So, is California full of flaming libtards, or is it really a red state and Democrats just steal every election? The two claims are mutually exclusive for the most part.

The people going around calling everybody 'Nazis' now were advocating forced medical procedures, mass censorship, discrimination, segregation, job termination, healthcare denial, making people show their papers everywhere, and even putting them in camps, just 3-4 years ago.
