Molecular Thermometer Works Near Absolute Zero https://t.co/Re1cPLG7vi Michael Hilke, @McGilluPhysics collaborates with European institutions on a new thermometer based on quantum effects which uses single molecules to probe temperature of exotic objects like very thin membranes.

A new thermometer allows thermal mapping of surfaces with microscale resolution and enables studies of heat flow through materials at cryogenic temperatures.
