I got early access to Gears & Goo on Vision Pro, and it’s already one of my favorites!. It blends strategy, fun design, and gives me StarCraft vibes in mixed reality. Resolution Games, the team behind Demeo, absolutely nailed it. Available January 9.

the only exception to this is ModelEntity.load, which can flatten a model hierarchy for you. but otherwise, you can just stick to entity + components.

AnchorEntity is just an entity that has an AnchoringComponent by default, and ModelEntity has a ModelComponent, as well as some convenience properties. you can add these components to any entity and achieve the same results. a lot of people have been confused by this in the.

through the RealityKit workshops we’ve run over the last couple of months, the one question that came up most was “what makes AnchorEntity and ModelEntity different from Entity?”. the answer? nothing at all.
