An ultra-processed food diet lowered testosterone by ~11%, FSH by ~14%, and sperm motility by ~18% in just 3 weeks compared to an unprocessed diet. These effects on key markers of male fertility were independent of calorie intake. Men on the ultra-processed diet also showed

The surgeon didn’t hold back. When asked what someone should eat to end up on his operating table, he laid it out clearly: live on processed foods. Wheat-based junk, biscuits, cookies, fast food, protein bars loaded with chemicals, anything that comes sealed in plastic. Add in

Epigenetic Reprogramming in humans is coming early next year (2026)... This is one of the first steps towards longevity escape velocity. We've known that you can reset the age of DNA taken from an "old cell" and putting it into a "young egg". Epigenetic reprogramming is real,

The average family now spends as much on health insurance as they do on their mortgage or rent. That wasn’t true in 2010. Does the fact that health systems, using cash from medicare, to buy 60% of independent practices have anything to do with the rise in premiums? The US

Net worth surveys of physicians in their 60s, generally at the end of a 30+ year career, show that one-quarter of them have a net worth of less than $1 Million, and 12% have a net worth of less than $500,000! Why do you think such a large proportion of late career physicians

I was part of a great research study in residency that did BP checks at pedi visits because while only ~60% of women go to their 6 wk postpartum visit, almost all go to the baby’s. We identified many women with postpartum HTN and pre-eclampsia so the answer should be yes!

If you see a newborn in the ER, do you check the mom’s blood pressure too? There are projects where BP screenings will hit the street - barber shops, etc. Why not in the 6 week postpartum period? Been thinking about that lately
