Big news!! My son and I were in this phase 3 trial 2021-2022, but it was a time commitment we weren't sure we do again with #2 (and participating meant I couldn't donate my extra breastmilk, esp upsetting during peak formula shortage). Such a relief for families.
FDA approves the first vaccine to protect newborns from RSV. It'll be given to mothers late in their pregnancies.

Pfizer announced Tuesday that its maternal RSV vaccine, given during pregnancy, protected infants from developing severe symptoms during the first six months after birth — a critical window of vulnerability.
