A complete review of educational video design principles, see what works. It finishes with a fairly robust critique of the whole field. We can do better videos and better research. See how. Cheers to coauthor legends @mjhenderson & @thinkingmike

One of the more enlightening pieces I've read. Shame I'll probably forget it.

Nature - Long thought to be a glitch of memory, researchers are coming to realize that the ability to forget is crucial to how the brain works.

Even a thesis about something utterly ephemeral (knowledge about the digital) needed to be held before it felt real. Thanks to all who led, encouraged, and believed. You made it happen - especially @thinkingmike @mjhenderson

1. You are wrong about something right now. The alternative being you are right about everything & based on past events you know this is unlikely. 2. The ability to change your mind is a character strength, not a flaw. 3. Now figure out what you're wrong about & change your mind

Very true. The old adage that we move like a fish and steer like a whale can be thrown out now.

@VicGovDHHS Change of pace here. I want to thank the active cases. I know you guys are doing it tough. Every one around you is going back to normal but you are still cooped up. Thank you for doing the right thing and the whole of Victoria cannot wait to have you back with us. Thank you.

On this the last (official) day of remote learning in Victoria, I tip my hat to our teachers. This was a job nobody trained you for, nobody prepared you for, yet everybody watched you do. Overwhelmingly this has led to greater appreciation of your work. Soldier on.

My 3 year old is getting over a cold, so 'midnight' sounds like 'bin night'. Upshot: Cinderella is so much more relatable when she yells "I'm sorry I have to run, it's bin night!"
