Apologies for the radio silence. Was unluckily enough to get COVID-19 and spent 4 days in a coma in intensive care. I’m awake now and improving rapidly, but my core strength is utter shit. Can’t even unscrew a lid lol so need some time to heal. Stay stafe all x

Went to see my surgeon yesterday to get my 1.5 year results.
Total lost: 152kg/335lbs.
We're both extremely happy with the results & if I lose no further weight, neither of us will be disappointed. It's just about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Guess that means I won.

Looking in the mirror and not recognizing yourself is weird as fuck.

The last 2 years have been ridiculously hard and at times I just didn't want to carry on but being able to come back and do what comforts me is just perfect.

Early hours on Monday morning of the 27th February I had to call an ambulance around 1am. By 3am we were in A&E and by 5.30am they found him a bed on ICU. His care has been absolutely outstanding, all of the professionals have been so kind and helpful. (3/8)

All week Matt fought against the infections. He was on lots of antibiotics and received the best care. He reluctantly consented to ventilation and has been under heavy sedation since Monday 27th February 2023 due to the ventilation. (4/8)

Overnight last night my lung inflated to about 80% which meant tonight I got discharged from hospital & I'm now back at home with all of my home comforts. I'm under strict orders not to over exert myself & give my lung chance to fully heal

The human body is amazing. Despite some complication I’m already up and about - got a shower and got into some comfy clothes. Should be going home tomorrow - they’re amazed at my progress.

Almost a week since I was weened off life support and I’m doing better than I thought - still short of breath doing basic things and constantly tired but every day I seem to improve little by little. I can bathe using the shower by myself and dress myself so all good :)

2 weeks ago today was when I got admitted to intensive care and put on life support.
I'm back at home now spending what feels like more time asleep than awake but I managed to take a proper shower unaided so I'll take that as a victory.
Still can't believe what happened.

This week is the funeral of my cousin who took his own life at the same age as me, 29.
I'll never properly know why he did it because that's his battle and he chose to keep it private but I get it. I really do. Definitely only so much you can take before you hit breaking point.

I've been away from Twitch/YouTube for 5 weeks, the longest "break" since I started 8 years ago.
I've lost basically everything I've built up, yet I am living harassment free & not spending every day dealing with petty BS.
It's liberating.

I was diagnosed yesterday with clinical depression. My therapist is writing to my GP to start medical treatment to aid my current therapy. I've always been against talking medication for mental health stuff but I've had about as much as I can take this and the end of last year.

I think today is the day in which it's finally sunk in that I can fly an aircraft on my own.
What a crazy surreal few days. So much has happened in such a small space of time - no complaints here though!

COVID rehab going extremely well - we're half way through and we did a stand and sit exercise on week 1 - I did 10 in 60 seconds. Week 6 (today) I did 21. 210% increase if my brain still works. Absolutely buzzing 😎

I’m gutted to be leaving NY in a few days after a life changing few weeks. I will be back very soon though.

This time a year ago I woke up from a coma because of COVID. It’s absolutely changed me and my perspective on life and how every day isn’t a guarantee. I can’t believe I’m still not recovered from it and most likely never will. This is my new normal now and I’ve gotta accept it.

In 2 weeks I start a 12 week rehabilitation program with the aim of getting my health back to pre getting COVID levels. Genuinely can't wait to be able to walk again without getting out of breath. Hopefully this will be the finish line of my health issues.

2018 was the best & worst year of my life simultaneously. I started it at 550lbs, I end it at 250lbs - the other negative shit isn't worth talking about.
2019 will kick ass, there is absolutely no doubt about that! I am super hype for what we have in store :)

Was just updating my weight loss chart and today marks 40% of my excess weight GONE (surgery weight). Pretty happy with that. It's only been 5 months too.
63kg/140lbs lost since surgery in December 2017.
90kg/200lbs lost since September 2017.

Good news 😊 I’m back home with a weeks worth of antibiotics. They got on top of the sepsis enough to be able to discharge me. They were concerned I had clots on my lungs but a CT scan ruled that out!

Update from me. I'm back in hospital and definitely here for the immediate future. I have a tear in my left lung which caused it to leak air into my chest cavity causing them to have to fit a chest drain (fucking hurts like a bitch).

Seriously though I’m on so much medication for so many different things and now to add to things wrong with me, if I expose myself to cold temperatures, my heart goes into an abnormal rhythm, warming up fixes it. Tests still in progress.
