Deep-dive on a long overlooked dynamic in
#Libya
: the rise of Saudi-inspired Madkhali-Salafis in the country’s security, religious & social spheres. Madkhali-Salafis are a key component of armed factions including Haftar’s LNA.

It’s a Saudi style “Scorching deep” into the Libyan society. Sending religious mentors and spreading through mosques and using women and youths! The good news is that Libyan soil retract and never accept them. Media is a big problem also

Those guys have corrupt brains and cannot think for themselves. They are the worst religious group I have ever seen in my life. They blindly follow and die for whoever pays more.

This reminds me of the rise of the Salafi Al I'tisam in Somalia. It seems a pattern that where the West is heavily involved in wars in Muslim countries, local society reacts by searching for new values, and these are found in a rigorous interpretation of Islam.
