Some parents expectations for their son's football recruitment could not be met by any coach or program. The truth is some parents are never happy and literally drive High School coaches nuts and think they are the enemy.
Parents, You are your own worst enemy.
@Mark__Porter
For most parents they only go through this process once, they think that they know better than a high school coach who has been through the process so many more times.
@Mark__Porter
These same parents should find realistic prospect camps to send their kids to in the summer and let the chips fall where they may. Opportunity everywhere!!!

I relied on
@JohnSantagata1
so much he was probably sick of all my questions. But he was the expert , not me So very thankful for all his time
@Mark__Porter
Our hs coach didnāt do anything but open up the door to let the college coaches in the school. We learned on our own, attend 1 day college camps all levels of schools are their. If your kid has what it takes the schools will come calling regardless of what level.
@Mark__Porter
I see your point. But there are some parents that went through it themselves and know whatās up. Also some parents advocate for their kids when coaches wonāt in spite of talent.
@Mark__Porter
Amen! Every year thereās at least one. And the thing is, Iāve never met a coach thatās worth anything that wants to lose or not have a big recruit come out of there program. Most of the time itās not the coaches. Itās the parents that hinder the kids

@CrestwoodAP
So not true, Parents are the ones who drive their athletes to succeed. It isnāt coaches or the team. Without parental support there would be no team. No need for coaches. And no making you crazy with their requests for you to make an effort. Be thankful you can try to help
@Mark__Porter
The entire recruitment it's a partnership only if you have a coach that loves and works hard for his kids. The coach regardless of what your kid does at camps has the last say so work together to accomplish the goal.
