AAH ICU have adapted & maintained a great team, including all 120 redeployed staff, during #COVID19. A special mention for the Ward Clerks who have been redeployed to provide ward clerk cover. Your flexibility & hard work has been greatly appreciated ✨

Brilliant work from all in the Emergency Surgical Unit (EmSU) in Antrim Hospital. Rapid access to assessment, diagnostics and decision making for emergency surgery, improving care for our patients.
EmSU has been operating for 3 months & ~60% of patients requiring emergency care for a surgical condition have been assessed within the Unit. With a 400% increase in patients staying less than one night for surgical conditions, more patients get home without an overnight stay 🏡
