There's an estimated 500,000 to 3 mil individuals in the United States with an implantable #pacemaker. Over 70 percent of those individuals are people over the age of 65. How could educational models like Amber's change the way other individuals prepare for a pacemaker implant?

In her hospital's medical makerspace powered by MakerHealth, she created this cross-sectional model of a heart to have a physical representation of an implanted pacemaker. In the process, she gained experience working with #3D printers and PolyPlastics right at the point of care.

What #patients know reflects the quality of #care they're getting. Project Spotlight 📢 Amber Kinnison, telemetry technician, makes it part of her job to provide interactive education to her patients. One great example of her work is this pacemaker model.
