I'm trying to complete the Puma microscope.
I just bought a Nikon 20X Metallurgical lens for now and my 3D printer is printing for me the microscope π
Anyway It's so small that even with 20X Metallurgical lens is a problem.
I managed to photograph the die anyway π

I always keep a 555 timer circuit around mated up to an 74LS154 that drives a count-up array of 16 LEDs.
Good for cylon-type displays; hardly requires any components and a potentiometer or fixed resistor cycles/controls the speed.
@nom
That's a nice use case of the 74LS154.
But we all know the 555 is the most versatile chip for small projects and for people starting electronics
It's very fun to play with it, but as always those fake Chinese one's are ruining the passion of a little electronics enthusiasts.
@marcjacobi
I don't know but the only thing I know is marketing..
For example If you brand them Texas instruments, very reputable brand you are going to sell them fast and full price..
@MacroWorld21
The originals were not laser etched or ink jet printed on the case. I canβt tell from your photo which of those two methods were used, but from outside photo itβs clearly not original π
