Assistant Professor Daniel Woldring said Schulte has gone above and beyond "to make science and engineering more accessible to diverse audiences."

He has been an Honors College Wielenga Research Scholar, a McLaren Hospice volunteer, and a co-author of five publications in scholarly journals.

He has served as an undergraduate teaching assistant, a professorial assistant, and a research assistant – all in different departments around campus.

She volunteers at the @MSU_Observatory and @AbramsSkyNotes and connects first-year astrophysics students with opportunities.

@MSUNatSci @MSU_EGR @CANRatMSU @michiganstateu Goldwater Scholar Erik Brodsky is a third-year @MSUNatSci student majoring in advanced mathematics and computational mathematics. Brodsky’s mentor Associate Professor Leonid Chekhov said, “Erik is one of the brightest students in his generation.”

@MSU_SocSci @MSU_EGR @MSUNAISO @MSUCAL Honorable mentions of $100 went to Alex Beck, Shahed Mady, and Serena Westcott. Their work spanned public health initiatives, girls' youth programs, and climate activism, respectively. This year also had a $500 Student Choice Award, split between Mady and Asase.

@MSU_SocSci @MSU_EGR The third prize of $250 was awarded to Kaylin Casper for her advocacy work through @MSUNAISO and other channels. Casper is a third-year student double-majoring in sociology and humanities pre-law through @MSU_SocSci and @MSUCAL.

@MSU_SocSci The second prize of $750 went to second-year international student Eleazer Asase, who is studying mechanical engineering through @MSU_EGR. His non-profit organization in Ghana, Nutata Network, provides resources for students interested in careers in arts and technology.

The first prize of $1,500 was awarded to Sumaiya Imad, a second-year international student studying economics and psychology through @MSU_SocSci. Imad is empowering human trafficking survivors in Bangladesh through her non-profit: Sincerely, Her.

Eustace-Cole Hall was electric for the 2025 Honors Giving Back Awards. Six Honors College students shared their stories of community engagement, and $3,300 in prize money was awarded between all six finalists. Here is a preview of their work. (A thread).
